Dried butterfly pea flowers from Thailand, a blue-flowered vining plant native to Southeast Asia. These were featured in our TROVE Spring Box: Chiang Mai, Thailand, and Cooking Class with Chef Mae to make a beautiful, color-changing drink.
These flowers make a soothing tea to calm the nerves, but can also be used as a natural food dye for rice and desserts. They are also a perfect way to bring some magic to your next soda or cocktail. When steeped they produce a deep indigo blue color, and when lime/lemon is added, they transform into a beautiful purple hue.
